Upstream, producers are listed and accredited by Igreca.
IGRECA plays an essential advisory role in the choice of feed, as well as in the improvement of breeding methods. We give priority to breeding methods that respect animal welfare.

 

IGRECA selects and then accredits its suppliers according to a drastic procedure in addition to European registration (EDE). An audit, the signing of a contract with a commitment to very precise specifications, and inspection visits are the prerequisites for any accreditation.

 

From approved egg-laying farms, eggs are checked, traced and re-identified on receipt. Igreca is able to check and validate the country of origin, the producer and the building in real time, thanks to dedicated software.

 

The batches are then bar-coded, sorted and prepared to meet the specific needs of IGRECA's customers.

IGRECA's Quality Management System

In line with the HACCP approach and in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, IGRECA is constantly developing and perfecting its Quality Management System (QMS). Managed by the Quality department (9 engineers) and updated several times a year, this system's primary aim is to guarantee food safety and health at all levels of production.

 

This system and the resulting procedures are also fundamental to the structuring of the production chain. The very structure of the plant(3 independent, compartmentalized sectors) is the result of years of demanding safety and quality standards.

 

Production monitoring and control is supported by an integrated laboratory, which inspects products at the various stages of processing and at the final stage, when they leave the plant.

Regular sampling and analysis enable microbiological, bacteriological and physicochemical measurements to be taken, guaranteeing IGRECA's customers that production meets their requirements (compliance with the product's physical specifications)...

Highly qualified teams

The Quality Manager is in constant contact with management.
He himself relies on the Laboratory teams, the Quality Assurance Manager and the Internal Control teams.

Based on regularly updated HACCP analyses, this team guarantees the highest level of quality.

 

Training programs in hygiene and best practices are regularly organized.

 

Experienced staff pass on their knowledge to new recruits as soon as possible.
